Licelle Cobrador, Board Member, Legal Dept. Chair

Licelle Cobrador, Esq. is an Associate at the Bhatta Law Firm. She practices federal court litigation, immigration law, commercial transactions, intellectual property, and family law.  Ms. Cobrador possesses the uncanny ability to solve complicated legal issues.

Prior to joining the Bhatta Law Firm and FALDEF, Ms. Cobrador worked for White & Associates, and Donald Wall, both New York based law firms. Previously, she worked as an associate at Rodrigo Berenguer & Guno, a leading Philippine law firm; as a consultant for the Department of Justice in Manila; and as a chief political affairs officer for the Philippine House of Representatives. She taught at the University of the Philippines, Manila, lecturing on conflict of laws, foreign policy and the judiciary.

Ms. Cobrador was a Dean’s Merit Scholar at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she received her LL.M degree in Intellectual Property. She has a J.D. from the Ateneo de Manila University, where she was a Dean’s Lister. She received her undergraduate degree in Development Studies, cum laude, from the University of the Philippines.

Ms. Cobrador is licensed to practice law both in New York State and in the Philippines. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the United States Federal Court of the Southern District of New York. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York City Bar Association and New York County Lawyers’ Association.
