TPS - March 27 Call To Action Day

COMMUNITY CALL TO ACTION

THURSDAY, MARCH 27, 2014

We need to press the US Department of Homeland Security to grant full Temporary Protected Status (TPS) now. DHS has already received Secretary John Kerry’s recommendation for partial TPS, granting the benefit only to undocumented Filipinos in the U.S. from the devastated areas. We need to urge DHS to grant full TPS because it would be a humanitarian relief measure that also recognizes the fact that natural disasters are a growing pattern in the Philippines, which includes the Bohol Earthquake, Typhoon Haiyan, and more recent and severe tropical storms. It is crucial that DHS hears our voices during this critical decision-making moment.

Please join us on Thursday in mobilizing our community to call in to DHS at 202-282-8495. Leave a message stating your name, which city and state you reside in, and urging them to grant full TPS to the Philippines as an important measure of relief that is still very much needed in the country's recovery process.
